We met with friends to give the place a try since the place reopened last fall. It's definitely got the 50's malt shop thing going on. As we approached the front of the building we noticed a broken chair by the entrance. Upon entering the restaurant we were told by a waitstaff, in passing, sit anywhere. Our waitress never smiled nor would make eye contact and wasn't knowledgable on the menu. We all ordered Mexican and all we're generic out of a can. The menu stated my wife was to get chips(homemade) and dip which she asked for after she got her meal. The chips were generic out of a bag! I could go on but I won't waste my time.

The owners are in an ongoing fued and the place is going under for sure. Avoid the terrible atmosphere and steer clear.

Right on the river with beautiful views and balcony. Huge variety of beer and many ice cold on tap. Good food, live music and the owners are very sweet.

In Kenneth's (the owner) defense, he did try to get me in to talk about it and make it right. I was not able to make it in due to living out of state. I have no affiliation with this business or anyone who ever worked at the business. Hopefully Ken takes the feedback and improves things in his restaurant vs acting unaccountable.

So I literally made my husband make a U turn so that we could eat at this place! It looked awesome! "Beer garden next to the river... " couldn't go wrong... Hmmm.. Big mistake. The food was horrible! I ordered $10 wedge salad :/ my 4 year old I'm pretty sure could have thrown this together. The appetizer we ordered looked NOTHING like the menu.. I could go on and on but I already wasted enough time on this joint. Save your time and money.. Do not go to this place! I'll never get my 2 hours and $45 back!

We did not try the food. We just stopped for a few beers. They had some good beers on tap and the place had some really cool 50's decorations. The owner was a really nice guy.

It was completely awful. It was entirely empty when we got their yet it took 15 minutes to get our drinks. After waiting for 30 minutes for our food they gave us stale generic chips which were completely over salted. After another 20 minutes about half of us got our food the rest didn't get theirs until we were already half way done. The meat was very dry and the fries were straight up nasty. One person wouldn't have more then one bite of his french toast with out starting to signal the only waitress to take it back. Do yourself a favor and don't go.

We like to try new places in Pagosa and will make us think twice in the future. My husband ordered the country fried steak. Gravy was grainy and the corn was canned. I ordered a burger thinking it would be safe, medium burger turned out super well done, hard and unseasoned. The worst part is when the waitress dropped of the food, ran off because she can see the gravy was clumpy and probably didn't want to hear out complaint. It's unfortunate. The meal was $30, we gave the waiter $40, he was sweet.

Do not go here . Everything about this place is creepy. Horrible service and food. You can get cold beer anywhere! That's to bad because the river is so nice . Maybe someone will take over this place and turn it around .

The French fries sucked but the onion rings were really good. My BLT was not very good , I ordered it with no T and extra B, however it was still very thin and just kind of cheap. Our waitress was really good, she is a new employee that just moved here from Louisiana. The scenery from the rear patio is absolutely awesome. The water is beautiful, the people going by in their inner tubes are fun to watch. Watching the lightning and listening to the thunder made our meal fabulous, however the food just wasn't that good. I would go back but I would not order the BLT.

Awful. The food, the service, everything! We should have went next door! We stopped for the patio, however we realized we made a huge mistake when we saw the menu and then even an bigger mistake when we the food arrived an hour after ordering. Everything we soggy with grease. I should have looked at the yelp reviews before we stopped here.

This is a nice place to sit on the patio and watch the people in the tubes go by. I ordered the BLT which I thought was a bit small. It should of had more BLT on it. I didn't like the fries but my daughter did. I liked their onion rings. My kids liked their burgers. So I do recommend this place for the scenery and the ok food.

yelp forced me to give them one star, they deserved zero. Myself and 3 friends went there during peak skiing season, around 6 pm. so i can understand a wait to get our food. but 30 minutes to get our drink order 45 for our food order was bad. even worse was them telling myself and one of my friends 30 minutes after we placed our order that they were out of chicken fried steak ( our original order). trying to be easy we changed to a burger. it actually took 2 hours after our original order to get our food, witch came out staggered one at a time causing me to finish my food before one of my friends even got his food. We could hear other tables complaining and getting comped, after we asked to speak with the manager id had enough. the manager refused to accept responsibility, completely blaming the waitress (who she assured us was fired). When one of my friends asked to have his meal comped, she simply said "i dont appreciate being told what to do". being a waiter i couldn't hold my tongue to her blatant disregard for her employees as well as customers. this is a short list of many problems with this sub par restaurant. in conclusion dont ever go in there, even if its just for a beer. it took me 30 min to get a single beer.
